Victorian land transfer duty ranges from 1.4% to 6.5%, including a flat 5.5% of the full value between $960,000 and $2,000,000. Owner occupiers get lower principal place of residence rates on homes up to $550,000. The calculator applies the current SRO rate tables for your buyer type.
Do first home buyers pay stamp duty in Victoria?
First home buyers are exempt on homes up to $600,000 and get a tapering concession up to $750,000, for both new and established homes, provided they live in the property.
