How calx.io works
calx.io is a set of Australian financial calculators. Calculations run in your browser. Your salary, tax settings and results are not sent to our servers, saved to a database or linked to you.
We do not require accounts, logins, or any personal information to use the calculators.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. This service collects anonymised usage data including pages visited, time on site, device type, and approximate geographic location. Google Analytics uses cookies to distinguish unique users.
We do not track, log, or analyse any salary figures or tax calculation inputs through analytics. The analytics data we collect relates only to general site usage patterns.
Cookies and local storage
calx.io uses cookies for analytics as described above. The calculators themselves do not use cookies. So you can pick up where you left off, your working inputs are saved in your own browser's local storage, on your device only. That data never leaves your browser, and you can clear it at any time with each calculator's reset button or through your browser settings.
You can manage or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not affect the calculator's functionality.
Data we do not collect
We do not collect, store or have access to the salary, income, tax, super, HECS/HELP, novated lease or other financial information you enter. This data exists only in your browser on your device and is never transmitted to us.
Third-party services
The following third-party services are used on calx.io:
- Google Analytics 4: site usage analytics
- Vercel: website hosting
- Google Fonts: typography (self-hosted, no external requests)
Children
calx.io is not directed at minors and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
